Genocentre, as a congress center, is the ideal site to organize your events. Choose the center of conference rooms ‘Genocentre’, and you’ll see that there is more to it than a conference room.
It is also a tool to support communication between scientists.
Genocentre was founded in 2001. This initiative of Association Française Contre les Myopathies (AFM) has had its mark on Le Conseil Régional d’Île de France and Le Conseil Général de l’Essonne. The first vocation of Genocentre is to accommodate conferences, symposiums, and congresses related to genetic research. The goal...? To gather the various scientists, actors and industrialists of the medical sector in order to allow them to communicate optimally.

The instigator of this project is none other than Bernard Barataud, the cofounder of Telethon. As the father of a myopathic child, he has not ceased to make progress in genetic research for more than twenty years. Thus was born Genopole®, a group of companies working in the genetic field. Based in Evry, they form a true seedbed of companies and constitute a single technological pole. Genocentre quite naturally is a part of this ambitious project.
